After doing some "further" file investigation I have come to the conclusion that the "Push File" or better known as "BatchDL.exe" has the wrong URL writtin within it, the URL is the very same URL as was in version 5&6..
Im sure Ulead has changed the URL since those versions but whomever wrote the "push File" for version 11 simply did not take that into consideration.
The URL within the "Push File" is..
It is the very same that is in the 2 older versions of PI that I own...
Heinz, I wonder if you can find out if my assumptions/conclusions are correct? and you could find out the correct URL the push file should point to so that I may rewrite the file and get my PI 11 fully working as it is supposed to.
Thanks,
Zero.
Possible "Push File" fix...

Did you install the patch for PI 11? You can get it here http://www.ulead.com/tech/pi/pi_ftp.htm Don't know if it will fix the "push file" error. I never had that problem and downloaded all my content from here http://www.ulead.com/pi/esd.htm.
Whilst I did not get the push file error, the not so smart "Smart Download" did not work for me either, it just never finished downloading. The content from the link above fixed all that though.

The downloads dont work, http 425
http://www.ulead.com/pi/esd.htm
and this does not fix the smart download missing content.
Even wrote about 12 emails to support dont got a single answer.
I think I simple do a charge back get happy with a free copy and spread out the register key..
That ulead *** sux.

BATCHDL.EXE-(numbers go here).pf is the file that collects all of the infor during installation from old and new software. This file is in the windows/prefetch folder and contains your information for signing onto the web.
BatchDL is a Microsoft Foundation Class distributable that uses the *.pf in conjunction with the u32**.ini file. Which means you can alter the pf but you can not alter the BatchDL.exe file or you will corrupt it and it will be of no use to you at all.
Whatever you do make backup copies before proceeding.

Cannot get url from push file - evaluation copy is worthless
So what is the answer to the problem?
I've downloaded the lastest evaluation version of Photoimpact and whenever I try to utilize one of the components from the easypalette I get the error "cannot get url from pushfile"
I applied the latest "fix" with the updated raw file, but still am getting the error.
Is this intentional so that if evaluating you cannot use certain features?

I'm ok now
Yes - It hit me as to what to do - I downloaded all the components and it is working now -
Now I need to open up another discussion on the easy palette and how in the world can I use the Text-Composition option from the Easy Palette.
Thanks

Open a blank image and click on the Text Composition preset you want, and it will float on the blank image. Deselect the object and then select the text or individual components one at a time and change them each individually.
The text will remain at the size and font of the preset. Delete the old text and move a copy of the new text onto the graphic.
