msp8 production library odd behavior on rename

when I right click and create a new subject under the media library tree the sybject is often created in a completely different tree/path.

I have even had this with rename. I bold a subject - right click - rename and a completely differnt subjects name becomes renamed not he one I selected - ODD

Am I the only one
