Doing my first project on MSP 8 its about 15 Minutes long with Type 1 DV-AVI files captured from my Sony D8 camcorder. A SC templete. A few Wav files and a few smart sound files from MSP 8.
While working on my project tonight a message comes up with "VE out of memory" then you can press OK. If I ignore the message I can hit Ctrl+S and the project will save, but if I go to do anything else like preview the video etc the program just sits there until I close it. This happened three times tonight. I was using my dual head Matrox P 750 VC to preview my project on my 19 inch TV. Could it be a VC memory leak? I read somewhere that Matrox had some problems like this with there drivers?
So far I have found two bugs in MSP 8.
1. When previewing in VE and using the preview screen when its enlarged on some parts of the project I get a message "Abnormal Program Termination" On Top it says MS C++. I then press OK and VE crashes. When screen is normal size project plays fine. Played fine on external monitor when screen is in normal size mode.
2. The above mentioned memory error. No other programs does this.

Try moving your temp files from C: to another partition where you have several Gb free. You should have no problems with your hardware. Make sure you have everything resident disabled (esp. anti-virus, firewall, internet connection and all other apps closed down)
