DVD does not play
Not sure what went wrong but the last 3 DVD's I burned from a simple project show "burn complete" but none will play. I get "disk error" on all them. Before these they were working fine. The only thing I did different is added a text message "The end" to them all.

Same everything. The disk I use I buy in the 100's as I need ones that I can print on. I do a lot of projects for clients. I am going to remove the text at the end and try again. I need to learn the quirks of VS as I have used Pinnacle up to this point. Pinnacle V10 does not like XP64 or 64 bit CPU's.

Couple of things you can look at. I also purchase my disks in bulk perhaps 500 at a time. sometimes you get a few bad ones in the batch.
Look at the surface of the burned disk - move it about in the light a bit and check to see if you can spot any flaws in the surface.
They do not show up on the blanks, only after burning.
Next, it is possible your DVD writer could have picked up a bit of dust - computers are full of static electricity and draw in the dust, especially when you consider the case is full of fans drawing air through the casing.
You may need to try a disk cleaner - they are fairly cheap and you just pop them into the disk drawer and play, like a conventional disk.

HollowStudio,
also take a look at the disc code on the center ring to see if the coasters you made have a different manufacturer code or letter. Like Steve said, I also buy my DVD media in bulk and it's not often mind you but I have had a few bad discs in a batch. Upon close inspection, the bad discs all had different codes than all the others.

Issue resolved. I forgot that I switched out the TDK+R (single layer) burner for one on another computer that did dual layer as to make some DL disk. Seems that this paticular drive (Light On) does not burn single layer disk that will play in most all machines. I found a couple that would play them but not all. It does do DL just fine. The ones I burned with the TDK plays in all my players.
