Activated VS9 Trial Version - Mistake?

Post by bummedoutmonkey »

I used paypal to pay the $99 but never got a download link or anything to do a full install. This whole system seems very difficult. Is the big VS9 patch included in the "Smart Download" feature? I emailed SoftWrap Limited (where the paypal $ went) but I have a feeling that they won't get back to me - their site didn't even work correctly.

Try filling-out this Customer Service Form.

I don't know anything about PayPal, but they may be willing to make an adjustment to your account if you don't get what what you've paid for. (Credit card companies will make an adjustment if you fill-out a form saying that you've tried to resolve the issue with the merchant.)

I just went to the Ulead mall and went to purchase Video Studio 9, payment options did not include Pay Pal.

I've never heard of Softwrap.

The Company that handles Ulead products is Elements 5.

You might have been taken.

I would contact Pay Pal and dispute the charges.

Same here. Try to get your money back. How did you get onto this vendor?

I purchased it through options in the VideoStudio Demo when it expired.

This is where the Softwrap comes into play... I didn't know that Ulead used Softwrap License activation, but they apparently do...

The reason you did not get a download link, is because you wanted to Unlock the TBYB version to a full version. However this has been a problem with Ulead's programs. The TBYB's when unlocked, still appear as TBYB to any patch. If the patch is intended for Full / upgrade versions only, then they will ignore the TBYB, and not install. It's always best to uninstall the TBYB, purchase the full or upgrade then install it.
