Trying to clip a .bmp image to my profile.
"Link to off-site Avatar:
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to".
Don't know exactly what the above means.
Don't I place the path (ex: c:\pictures\XXX.bmp) to attach the image?
Thanks.......

No the image must be stored on a website somewhere - not on your personal PC - or else we would only be able to see it when you are online.
Many ISPs provide a free webspace for their subscribers you can put an image on that and link to it in your profile, or there are some free photo storage sites around you can use one of those.

It's got to be a location/URL that the Web Board can access everytime you post a message - your c: drive better not be accessable or the entire world can also access it - I'm sure you wouldn't like that
The file has to be "somewhere" on the Internet i.e your web-site (if you have a home page through your ISP for example). For example, my Avatar is a from a site that is dedicated to providing avators.
