MSP8 - Performce level option

Post by tgill »

In the performance level option on the preview window what is the difference between the number/ color bars 0 -3?

When should use one or the other?

I would like to have rendered previews of complex areas on my edits (3 to 4 track with video and overlay). Didn't it use to be that way in MSP7?

Any help on this would be great?

By default, instant preview is turned ON in MSP8 unlike MSP7 where it is OFF by default. The numbers 0-3 are the different instant preview quality settings, faster computers can handle higher quality. If you wade through the menus there is the option to turn instant preview off. That should do it!
Hope it helps,
