Every time I get to the stage of trying to make a dvd, I click the OUTPUT icon and within about a minute my computer freezes up (every time). I have plenty of hard drive space and the amount of RAM required, very frustrating (probably doing something wrong) grateful for any suggestions.
Cheers
Steve

We require a bit more info than you have provided. First, the exact version of VS 8 you are using. If it is not the full boxed or download/upgrade version, then other versions which have SE in the title are crippled in some way. It seems that for a SE version to output to DVD, it should probably be labelled something like 'VS 8 SE DVD'. Otherwise you might not be able to produce DVDs, only VCDs and SVCDs. Some, at least in VS 7, did not even include a burning engine.
Given your reference to 'Output', you must be in the burning engine module, and you have reached the final page. But again it is important to know what version of VS 8 you have and whether you have applied the burning engine update.
And we also need to know the properties of the clip(s) you are trying to burn, exactly how you produced them, and knowing a bit about your computer and burning drive would be helpful as well. In addition, do you happen to have Nero InCD loaded on your computer?
