Product Updates on the Web!

Hi!

I registered user on PI11 (ESD version). In the (Help>Product Updates on the Web) menu link is http://activity.ulead.com/updates/us/pi ... YPE=XXXXXX and not open real product update page! This is the easy and sample method for check your product updates and patchs. Please fix this problem!

Hi Krasimir,

I can't find anything wrong with that link except that it is slow to load.

Please understand that you will have to contact ULEAD with problematic links.

We are not ULEAD, just a bunch of users like yourself, at different levels of efficiency in using the relevant programs and trying to help the less experienced while learning from the more experienced as we go

Yes Ulead does provide this site, however as Heinz stated the users are not Ulead employees, or representatives. The only common thread is that we all use Ulead products and help out each other with problems with the programs. The Web sites, are controlled by Ulead, so we can't do anything to change the speed of the servers or content.

With that said I personally have had email contact with a representative from Ulead, advising of the problems with the Smart Download. Ulead is aware of it, and have been working on an alternative method to the Smart download. They have also been looking to add more servers to help alleviate the slow downloads. I and alot of users, have experienced the snail speed of downloading at times. However I have also managed downloads that were at the proper speed for my internet connection.

You think maybe Krasimir Stoychev might be talking about the fact that the link from PI11s "Help" dropdown entitled "Product Updates on the Web" doesn't list the Update Pack 1 found elsewhere on this forum? I, like Krasimir would not have known of the update if it were not for this forum. It isn't listed on Ulead's web site anywhere you would expect to find it.

I find it a little offensive the way you guys (moderators) seem to politically move away from the subject when defense of Ulead is needed.

A lot of us come here to get help/answers Ulead obviously isn't providing. We would hope that you would lead the group to find answers (wherever they may be) - not instigate unrelated topics as you so often do.

I personally, am not here to bash you (moderators), Ulead or anyone else. I just want the program I paid for to live up to it's advertised quality. I am willing to visit this site or anywhere else to do so. But I do not have the time to waste on double talk - nor money to waste on undeveloped and/or unsupported software.

It is True the Title Lastest Updates, does not contain an update for PI11.

However, If you are a little more observant you will notice that in the box to the right titled Assistance Center, which has a text Link called Updates & Patches, when clicked takes you to the Ulead PI11 Patches and Updates Page. The URL is http://www.ulead.com/tech/pi/pi_ftp.htm
