(By the way, I am kinda new to this so sorry if my terminology is wrong or confusing.)
I am capturing video from my Sony HandyCam MiniDV recorder and my project settings are as follows:
MPEG files, 24 bits, 720x576, 25 fpx, DVD-PAL, 4:3. Video data rate: variable (max 7000 kbps). Audio data rate: 256 kbps. Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0 (L,R). Capturing lower field first. Capture image format: JPG.
Once I have captured the video, do I need to check the box which states "Do not convert compliant MPEG files" or "Two-pass conversion"? I have no idea what these mean.
I am burning to a TDK DVD+RW 1-4X 4.7GB single sided DVD using the DVD burner which came with my PC (compliant with RW DVDs and CDs)
When I get to the burning DVD screen, the recording format I choose is "DVD-Video" (I have also tried DVD+VR). I change the recording speed from maximum to 4.0X.
When I click the "Burn" icon it starts the process and everything seems fine until it gets to the "Recording DVD" stage. After a few seconds it stops and the following error message appears:
"The target device might have some problems. Please try again or reboot (5213)." I click on OK and the following message appears:
"Failed to record data to disc. Error: DVD+RW-SPTI-2A-02-03-OC-00"
I have burned straight from my camera to DVD before and it has worked on my DVD player, but as I would like to edit my footage, this is not an option I want to take.
As I said, I'm sorry if this is confusing or long-winded, but I just want to burn to DVD the footage I have captured of my daughter over the past year. Any help you can provide is much appreciated!!!
