I am reaching my wits end, the manual is no help, the website is no help! so where did my time line preview go???
was using version 6, many productions later the timeline frame by frame preview dissapead! don't know who stole it! all video imported as DV os win xp SP2 blah blah ... like no major changes
so ok v6 is getting old, try out v9 see whats new, still the most basic tool ain't there...
Is it me, was it only a wish(list item) I'm sure my memory ai'nt that bad!!
if any one can help me find my preview I would really appreciate it!

I too am not quite certain what you mean exactly. But I suspect you might mean the view of your video clips in your timeline which shows a whole sequence of frames, rathern than just the opening frame, and then a solid colour for the rest of the clip...? If so, you will need to set that in Preferences, though I don't know anything about VS6. But it should be in Preferences > General > Clip Display Mode and you choose Thumbnails Only...
