Questions on VS9 and transparent animated Gif's

hi,
I have animator creator, I am planning on getting VS9 and amlooking for info on transparent gifs and animated transparent gifs with videostudio9.
note: reason.. animated gif important because ihave a large
library which i use with with my animated ecard program...
and want to use them with vs9.

I have looked at some of the old posts on animated gifs and
couldn't find the answers i was looking for.
now i understand that VS9 you can put in transparent animated gif... with that
1. can you do it as a overlay and are there any special issue in doing it?
2. will the animated gif loop or will it just cycle once and that it? whether it is used as a overlay or seperate event....?
3. are there any limitations in using a animated gif in a movie clip or a slide show.
4. do the transparent animated gif or still's transparent gif, do they have to be made
with ulead or photoshop??? or can they be made by any programs...?
I appreciate any help on these questions.. been looking for a while for movie/slide show program that will take transparent animated gif... and it looks like this one will do fine and i just want to clear some final questions.. smmile...

1. - Yes - thats the only way to do it
2. - Just the once - but you can put it in the overlay track sequentially as many times as you like.
3. - No special ones
4. - No you can make them in any programme which supports transparency

hi,
thank you very much Brian.. .... that make me comfortable in getting vs9... i am looking forward using a lot of animated gifs in vs9, slides show primarily but also in movie clips.. and also since by ecard greeting program will allow me export to animated gif format...I can make complicated animated gif failry easy...which i can use in vs9... i am looking forward having a lot of fun..... smile.. definitely going to be a adventure.
