Why won't text save???

I have had no problems creating a decent looking slideshow, but everytime I put text on a slide and save it, it is gone when I bring it back up. I have wasted so much time adding text onto slides only to have them disappear. I even tried to create blank slides in between topics, with text and graphics and again after I save them, leave the program and come back they are gone.

I know this is an known issue, you can download the patch for fixing it.
