I purchased and installed the upgrade to MF4 from MF3 (which came bundled with my DVD Instant). Then I installed the 4.04 patch from the website and uninstalled MF3, as I assumed it would be no longer needed. Then I rebooted.
When launching MF4, I get a dialog box saying "A key error". When I click "OK" the MF4 interface comes up. When I attempt to add an mpeg file to a project, I get: "File ... does not contain video data."
The mpeg is DVD-standard, created in Womble MPEG Wizard. It plays fine in Womble and I was able to load it in in MF3, except MF3 said it didn't support Dolby Digital.
How do I fix the "key error" and how do I load this mpeg in?
A key error + File contains no video data

Hi,
You can't use the program correctly. It's not going to work properly.
Getting a key error shows a corrupted installation.
Remove all the corrupted programs.
Clean, scandisk and de-frag your harddisk.
Run the windows disk clean-up utility.
Check the harddisk for errors (ScanDisk), this is important.
Then install the program(s).
