Capture Problem

Post by Griffter »

Hello, I wonder if anyone can pose a solution to this problem.

I have recently bought and installed VideoStudio 9.0 to capture and edit DV from a Samsung Camcorder. The Camcorder has worked fine with other video editing packages I have used in the past. The Camcorder and PC are linked up by a firewire connection.

When I click on the "Capture" tab and then on the "Capture Video" icon, the following message pops up:

"Runtime Error!

Program:...am files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 9.0\vstudio.exe

abnormal programme termination"

I click "ok" and the programme closes down.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Trevor Andrew

Hi

There was a problem relating to Windows Installer that caused VS 9 to crash when selecting Capture. Not sure if your conditions are the same, but it may be worth reading this post.

I too am having capture problems and tried to fix it using the method above. However, I am still having capture problems. UVS9 just hangs on the 50% mark of "change field order" when I first open the UVS9 to capture.

I did not have any trouble capturing with my old card, a K-World card that came with the PC. But after installing this new card http://www.snazzishop.com/cart_dvd_pro.asp is when I started having trouble. I have re-installed both the card and UVS9 with no luck.
