Having error message when creating iso file

I am using VS 8.01. When creating iso file from wmv file, at about 70% I am having error message. What could be a reason?

You have answered your own question: 'creating iso file from wmv file'. Quite apart from anything else, you should really only be creating an ISO (just as you would be actually burning a final DVD) from a DVD-compliant mpeg-2 file. Please see the recommended procedures in the top sticky post.

And apart from that, you are trying to do it from one of the more complex video formats (WMV) with which Video Studio, even in its latest and best incarnation, VS9, is far from comfortable. We have had lots of people here reporting problems trying to edit or otherwise manipulate WMV files.

At the very least, before moving into the burning module to prepare your ISO, first, with your edited WMV project in the timeline, go to Share > Create Video File > DVD and produce a DVD-compatible mpeg-2 file. Be prepared for a long wait though because, as I said, VS is not at all comfortable with WMV, and appears to take an inordinate amount of time to render the files, if it can even manage to do that. Once (/If) you have such a file, then go to Share > Create Disc and 'burn' your ISO with it.
