I have over ten thousand movie clips to load and save as a representative frame from each clip. Each frame will be saved as a bmp file to my hard drive. Each frame will be selected from a different place in the clip so this part of it cannot be automated.
Having to select PREVIEW MENU WINDOW, then SAVE IMAGE TO, then select IMAGE FILE, is a real pain. Ulead must offer a way to create a shortcut or hotkey or combo of keys to more quickly directly to SAVE IMAGE. Right?.
If so, please let me know. I've search and searched and have come up empty. If I can create such a shortcut hotkey, it will save me lots of time. I'd rather use Ulead to do this, not some third party program.
Hotkey to save image file
You could this - and a lot more - with a programmable keyboard!

I use LogiTech Internet Navigator, which is suppose to be a programmable keyboard. However, it seems I'd have to know the actual keys used to get to that program menu. I don't see any other way to use this keyboard to do so. And I have no idea if there are keys assiged to those menus, none I can find at least.

Gotta use the rght tools man..
Markmen,
Since I am drifting (once again, sheesh) off topic. I'll just say two words, Photo Shop. Rev 6.0 and above.. you can open the movie file as a picture at a place to be determined by you... the have it finish the rest of the repetitive keystrokes in one macro, including incrementing the number of the save pic.
I use this twice a year when I edit 20 hour videotapes from a lab that needs stills every so often from varying places in the tapes.
For each saved pic it ends up being about four keystrokes plus the frame number you are jumping to. Slightly longer when you specify a new tape.
Hope this helps.

Non-linear editing is half art/half brain damage

The Open dialog in Photoshop CS2 has no options for opening any kind of video formats that I see.tv_news_guy wrote:I'll just say two words, Photo Shop. Rev 6.0 and above.. you can open the movie file as a picture at a place to be determined by you...
So, I imagine you have an extra plug-in installed? Any idea what that might be?
