Could you please add a few more P.S.'s... What are you trying to capture and how are you trying to capture it? What format are your trying to capture to? Exactly what devices are involved? How is your camera or capture device connected to your computer? What are the specs of your computer? What operating system are you using? Have you made any changes to your computer, and particularly the VS7 set-up or file locations, since you started? Have you ever made a successful capture? At the moment, all we know for certain is that you get this error message and use VS7, and that is simply not enough to work on!

In addition to what Ken has put could you please update your system details on your profile page as this will also assist in our efforts.

Thank you

More information would be appreciated. But here goes... Has video capture ever worked? How about a recent upgrade to WINXP? My captures worked fine with WIN2K, but when I upgraded to WINXPSP2 my camcorder was never seen as a capture device. The solution was to install the proper WINXPSP1 drivers. The files in question are 1394bus.sys, arp1394.sys, and ohci1394.sys.
