Can't Uninstall VS9

How can take this program off my hard drive completely, Control Panel will not allow me to uninstall, It Says a s**** of wierd numbers i click ok then: error -5001

Oh and even if i try running the program, it loads then stays open for 1/2 second then shuts off. thats why i'm trying to uninstall.

any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi dachozn1, welcome to the forums..:)

It seems that you really have a corrupted install, the uninstaller apparently is corrupt also.
What OS are your running, WinXP Home/Pro, Win2K? If WinXP try rebooting into safe mode. Then if you are the Admin, go into the Admin profile and try uninstalling again.
It almost sounds like this is going to be a bit difficult to get everything unistalled if the uninstaller will not function..

Try the above and post back with results..

I have XP, and i tried the safe mode technique, but still the same thing happens. maybe if i put a magnet against my hard drive it'll go away.

Yes using a magnet will get rid of the problem, and then some. :o

Have you tried Tyamada's suggestion? Generally to get rid of everything that Ulead's programs install, there is some degree of manually deleting files...

Actually i tried a different help about going into control panel, didnt work, so i'm gonna start manually removing it now. hope that works
