Free Plug in problems

I hope someone can help. I down loaded two plug ins. The exe files are on my desktop. When I double click on either one a window pops up and the only button avaiable is "Finish". I don't get any other windows. When I click finish nothing happens. Does anyone have any clues?

Give us a clue... please post the link to the plug ins as they all behave differently. I'll take a look for you

Thanks but it finally dawned on me that I needed to disable my anti virus software...duh! I do appreciate your repsonse.
