My Ulead MF4 wont burn DVDs

hi i'm using MF4 and everything works fine untill i get to the final burning to Burning Target Disc stage, then nothing happens the timer keeps going, top bar goes to 100% but bottom bar doesn't move. i have installed all the updates but this has made no difference i used to use MF2 nand had no probs with that. if i check in my docs in Ulead & it has created the video ts & audio folders.

I can use dvd shrink to burn it then and its ok but these are just holiday movies of my cancorder and i feel i should be able to do the job with MF4.

My burner is pioneer dvr-109 and operating system is xp

please help

Have you installed the updates?

Yes have installed updates but am going to uninstall and reinstall MF4 so will try it again

One of the favourite causes of this problem is the existence of "Packet Writing Software" on your machine such as Nero InCD plus a few others.

Packet Writing Software enables you to use the CD/DVD drive in much the same way as a regular hard drive where you can "drag and drop" using windows Explorer.

If you have any such software present please disable it and try burning again.

THanks I have un/re installed MF4, disabled incd, i also have cd creator 6 installed so i have unistalled drag to disc.

Still wont burn: have installed all updates, uninstalled any conflicting software nero & adaptec gets to the final stage then pc freezes

OK a quick re-cap.
You have uninstalled and re-installed MF4.
You have applied all of the updates including
http://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Updates/dmf4/dmf4_up4_e.exe
Which addresses a problem with Pioneer DVD writing devices.
You have disabled any packet writing software on your computer.

You are able to create Video_TS and Audio_TS folders
to your hard drive then burn with another product.

1. Do you have sufficient RAM installed on your computer?
2. Have you installed the latest firmware for your writer?

Failing all that I would just take the easy option and burn to a Hard Drive folder and burn with your other product.

Hi,
I am facing the same issue. The detailed progress just stops at 0% while the Total progress shows 100%.
Nothing budges from there on. I am fed up of rebooting my machine.
PLEASE HELP. I have had no issues earlier. I have not installed any new software.
