VideoStudio 8 DV out to camcorder

Post by Baldrick »

After creating my epic, I'm having great difficulty outputing it back to the camcorder.
Going to Share/Export/DV Recording and then Next/Record the camcorder goes into Pause and then to Record but it stops before the end of the video reporting "No DV input". Sometimes it stops after a few seconds, sometimes after one or two minutes.

I'm using Windows XP HE and a Panasonic camera.
I would be grateful for any help.

I strongly recommend rendering to a DV AVI file first, and then outputting that to the DV camcorder in order to avoid any unnecessary CPU-intensive operations that would otherwise have to be done in realtime. Are you doing that?

Thanks for the reply but yes, I am rendering to a DV AVI file first. (Should it be lower or upper field first?) I have had this problem in the past but thought it was resolved as I have since recorded many hours to my camcorder.
I have recently upgraded from UVS6 to 8. Perhaps I'll reinstall 6 again to see if that provides any clues.
