does anyone know some good levels for fire, to produce a nice candle flame?

Sorry it is taking so long to get a reply on this. However this is something that you are going to have work with to get the candle flame effect you like.
What have you tried so far? The easiest way to learn how is to open the lantern animated object. Then in your object manger expand the Group2. You should see the Particle animation, which is the flame in the lantern. Now look at the attribute panel. All those settings are modifiable.
I'm posting a screenshot of my attribute panel on a flame that I came up with, starting with the Particle Fire, the first one in the Library. I then just started working with the attributes. I understand not knowing what the attributes do, can pose a problem on using them.
The "Dragging Force" attribute is what causes the effect to go up, down, or sideways. You also have to understand the "axis" in 3D space to manipulate the proper ones.
