I am trying to copy a vhs tape from my vcr to my computer. When the movie is being captured, I can see it fine on the screen. However, once I stop capturing and switch to playback mode, a white band appears horizontally smack dab in the middle of it. It takes up about 1/2 of the screen.
I've tried capturing in every way without success. The one thing I noticed under capture settings I have it set to 'Video Capture Filter' (I've tried other too). When I click on the Properties button on that small screen, I can see a 'VCR Input' and 'Output Enabled' checkboxes. The Output Enabled is checked, however, the VCR Input is grayed out.
Does anyone have any ideas why I may be having this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help!

You're trying to capture a Macrovision-protected video signal with NVIDIA's WDM drivers later than V1.08 -- this was the last version that ignored the copy-protection subsignal.
You can either put a "video stabilizer" such as those made by SIMA between your video source and your VIVO card, or you can go back to the WDM V1.08 drivers, they can be found on the 'net.
