Nature of the problem
MovieFactory 3.5 will not give me the option of creating a DVD video disk, when I select 'create video disk'. The only option available is VCD

MPEG-2 files, created from AVI screen capture (Windows 9 CODEC), compressed with Sorensen Squeeze 4.3
What devices are involved and their mode of connection?
Video is stored on a hard drive (Maxtor 300GB, partitioned into 3 98GB slices)

The drive will burn a data DVD and data CD-R just fine.
DVD option greyed out under 'create video disk'

I only have MF4, so I'm not sure about MF3.5. However it sounds as if you had selected to Create a VCD, instead of DVD. In MF4, Launcher you choose either Create DVD or VCD. Then from the there the program will provide you with the appropriate template settings, and options.
