Full error message follows: Some required modules are lost. Please install them again. (5012)
After acknowledge, get the following error:
There is an internal error in the DVD engine.
Have two DVD burners: HP-840b and a Sony 810A...tried writing to both, but same problem.
MF4 was working fine then started getting this error, probably after a Windows update, but not sure.
Tried uninstall and a complete registry clean, then reinstall, also downloaded latest update...none helped...Since this is a newly built system, I had imaged drive C before installing all of the software that I use. I restored back to the original image and reinstalled the software, but still getting the same error.
MF4 Error: Some required modules are lost...(5012)
same problem
I have been getting the same problem for several months now. The only work-around I have is renistalling the update "dmf4_up4_e" which is the latest update for MF4. Then everything works find for anywhere from a day to several weeks.
The only thing I have to guess on for the problem is that I have a portable HD that I take between work and home and it MIGHT be that when I disconnect it while MF4 is running it messes with it. I don't know how and it's too much of a hassle to reinstall to run a proper test and see if that is the culprit. If you have a memory stick or some such thing you might want to consider that.
Best of Luck,
JCB
