Going from Trial to Full version

Post by willydeluxe »

After freeloading for 30 days I've just done the deed and paid up!

I need to know if I should install the full version over the Trial, uninstall first, or whatever.
And what, from where, should I save if I uninstall the trial? (My projects are saved already: is there anything else I should look for?)

Oh, and how can I clean up all the thumbnails from the library in one go? Where ARE they?

Very definitely uninstall the trial version first. And I imagine the files represented by the thumbnails will be in your working folder which, unless you changed it, will be in My Documents\Ulead VideoStudio\9.0.

As Ken has said the files represented by the thumbnails will be in your specified capture folder - but if you only want to clear the thumbnails from the library and not delete the actual files then just click on the first thumbnail to select it - go to the last one and hold down 'shift' while you select that - all thumbnails should now be selected - hit the delete key on your keyboard - click 'OK' at the prompt - goodbye thumbnails.

Control+select also works if the thumbnails you want to delete are not consecutive.

From what we have both said I hope you realise that the thumbnails are not your actual files - they are just icons pointing to the files - the two things are seperate and you can delete thumbnails and not files - you can do the other way round if you like (delete files not thumbnails) but then it becomes very messy next time you select a thumbnail !!
