An annoying feature of VS8 is that it does not have a 'move/copy' project option which will enable all the components of a project to be picked up and relocated to a single drive/directory. I also find the DVD-xx import file naming convention annoying as there does not appear to be a 'rename' option within VS8 which will rename the source files on the disk? ) I use a DVD set top recorder so often need to import DVD-xx files)
Anyone know of any 'addons' or Ulead plans to manage the projects better?

Delboy,
Are you refering to something like this scenario
You have a huge project with muliple chapters and as you work on the large project all of your Image, Video and Music libraries get built up. After the project is finished and you have an image file where you can burn copies of the finished product you still want to preserve all of the efforts made to build up the libraries in case you ever wanted to go back and do something different. At some point you are ready to begin another project and you don't need the library settings from the previous project but deleting them is like getting rid of the source work of your project.
If this is what you are refering to then, YES, count me in for a way to Archive the project libraries!

When you've created a big project, the .VSP file remembers where every part of it is located: video files, stills, sound clips, overlay images, etc. -- which may be in many different places on your hard drive. If you move the .VSP project file, you can later reopen it in VideoStudio and find everything right there on your timeline.
But if you move the DATA -- the video files, stills, sound clips, etc. -- to (for example) an external hard drive, so as to work on another project, the project file won't be able to find anything any more, and will ask you to relink everything. That might not be so easy!
I believe Delboy was lamenting this problem. It's too bad the .VSP file doesn't keep dynamic track of the elements of a project.

Not wishing to name the competitors product but the ability to move/copy all the relevant parts of a project into a single location has existed since 1999 in that application. This provides the ability to archive all relevant parts ready for a re-edit in the future if required.
