I don't think that I have missed anything but I don't see anything like a layer manager in this program. By that how do you manage the arrangement of objects so that you can specify which objects are in front or behind other objects?

Are all of the presets capable of working with widescreen 16x9 output? Not forgetting that that some items in the easy palett allow you to insert your own video into them?

Can one tell the program to always work with 25 FPS or do I have to enter this every time I preview or render a file?

Hi OldTimer,

1. C3D PS does in a different way use Layers, however you can't move the layers up or down like in an imaging program. To move one object in front of , above or below another, select the object in the object manager. This can be tricky, it tends to jump to another object that is close to it. I will lock the other objects (click on the other objects and click on the padlock). Make sure the Move Tool (the hand on the location toolbar) is selected. Then select the object to move, and to move forward hold the shift key to constrain movement on one axis, the using the Right Mouse button drag down. To move backwards, drag up. If you are having problems with the object remaining selected, try placing your cursor off to the side when you drag. It doesn't have to be on the object itself.

I'm not sure about the widescreen, I've never tried that...

Yes you can tell the program to use whatever frame rate you want. Go to File-->Preferences. The dialog that opens will have some settings, The FPS is located in the New Document Option Box. Just click the drop down arrow and set it to 25.

Well I managed 2/3... hope those help...

For wide-screen project, select Project->Dimensions->User defined and modify the dimension as wide-screen.

For modifying the project FPS, select View->Toolbars Manager->Timeline to let the Timeline Window show up, then modify the FPS value on the bottom of the Timeline Window. Or you can change the FPS value in the Animation Toolbar.

The FPS value in the Preferences is been used for creating an new project, it's not been used to modify the FPS value of the current opened project.

Hope this helps.
