uninstalling explorer 8.0

hi all,i need some help.i have ulead explorer 8.0 se basic on my computer ,and i was haveing some proublems,i uninstalled it and was going to reinstall it ,but it wont let me ,it says it is allready installed,but its not,looks like it did not uninstall all the way.any help on getting it out of my computer so i can reinstall?

You could start by deleting the Installation folder where it was installed previously and the temp folders it created. That goes for all the user accounts on your machine as well as the default user.

You will need to edit the registry if that fails. Do you have experience in editing the registry?

If you only installed and un-installed it and have not installed other software or devices since, you may also return your system to the state it was prior to the installation with "System Restore". You will find this by clicking Start > Help and Support >System Restore. Go to a date prior to the installation of PEX.

You might also need to run a utility to clean up invalid entries in the registry. Backup your registry first though before you get crazy.

System Restore plus removing the Directory entries resolved the same problem I had. Original cause was a computer crash on the software installation with version 7.

edit the registry and deleting the related file worked great
