Have you got Quicktime 7 installed on your PC? If so, have you tried uninstalling it and following the advice dated Oct 24 from joeybert at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... ound+sound
?

OMG IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Ron. Probably if I go through this whole thread I will find where Steve or someone else told me this and I missed it.

Can I still be mad at Ulead? Well I think so. I was sent disks for a program that was going to be obsolete in a month and I don't think they should have had all the errors from gone by days on them. Secondly I have no idea what I am suppose to do with disk 2 because when I tried to load it everything from disk 1 was erased from my computer.

BTW my new $200 Epson printer does a much better job of printing on disks than the ones I received from Ulead.

Anyway, kick me anyone if I think I want another Ulead product in the near future.

Horray :!: :!: :!: :) :)

Glad to see you got it working Marlene!

With VS9 there is only 1 disc with the back-up. To get the Content Packs, you have to use the "dumb-download" or what is better to download them from the site using the links in Steve's Tutorial/General Information Section. So just forget about the 2nd disc...

Thanks for the clarification on the two disks Ron.

I did delete the whole program VS9 and all files pertaining to it was well as well as QT7 and then downloaded the program again. I am just in the process of downloading the dumb downloads. Everything did work except Packs 1 and 2 which I got off this site.

Apparently it will be safe for me to download QT7 now right? I'm almost scared too.

Don't do the Quicktime thing until you've got VS9 installed. It uses an earlier version of Quicktime. I just left the earlier version of QT after installing VS9. It wasn't until installling VS10 (TBYB or beta) that the latest version was installed, and VS10 done that..

Well as frustrating as all this was for me I don't know what I would have done without this site.

Steve will you be so kind as to tell the powers to be that I finally have it working. They did send me one thing to do but that was something I had tried eons ago from info. from this board. I never heard from them since telling them that that didn't work.
