MF3 Won't Allow New Project After Patch Applied

Guys I am really frustrated now. I have "mf3 se" that came with video capture device. I just applied the dmf_3_patch_e.exe and now my software doesn't work at all. I start MF3.... create video disk.. New Project-DVD, then a new screen appears that has the three options on the left. Well I click New roject... and my NEXT button doesn't work in the bottom right of my screen. What is wrong? I've successfully used MF3 to create 13 really nice videos of family movies.. and now I can't burn my last video.

If it was working OK before the patch I would uninstall, re-install
and leave out the patch.
If your using XP you may be able to use" System Restore"

The reason why I installed the patch is because I had problems with burning my DVD with one video and several slide shows. The software would cancel all operations once it hit the "preparing video" stage. I know the patch has increased slideshow support and so I was hoping it would get me past me problem.
