rotating the frame of my .mpg file using MSP 7

Post by David Sloan »

I create .mpg files on my ditigal camera; however, i
shoot my movie turning my camera clockwise to the
right. Later when i upload my file to my PC the top of
the frame is right to left. I have downloaded the
MSP 7 (trial) to be able to rotate
my video file and enjoy proper viewing? However, i
have no idea how to open .mpg files in the video
editor in order to make the necessary rotation. I hope
that I am able to make this "edit" and purchase the
product for exepected future "edits". Can anyone help me?

Thank you.

You can introduce a counter-rotation in 2D Advanced Moving Path, but be warned that doing this with an mpeg-2 file may cause poor quality when you re-render. MPEG is not designed for editing of this nature, only cut'n'splicing.

Please ignore the troll praebo1557: he is just an ignorant cuss who agrees with everything and everyone in order to flash his URL (nothing to do with video) on the screen. I've asked the site admin to ban him.

 why on earth do you tape in that orientation? Straight forward editing of mpeg files is hard enough without the added aggrevation? Just courious.
