Codec Prob on Studio 9 free trial

Post by Tales 68 »

I've just downloaded the free trial after using Studio 7 for a good while but I am getting the message Codec TrialActivation had a serious error. Any advice much appreciated.

What OS are you using? Are you installing as an Administrator, or as a specific user logged into your computer? Also, have you modified the default installation paths?

Regards,
George

Thanks for the reply - OS is Windows XP S.P.2 I installed as a specific user (apparently) - How do I modify the default installation paths - sorry a bit naive on this front.

I get the same error with the Free trial version of VideoStudio 9. I'm running XP SP2 and I am both user and admin. I did modify the default path originally but have since uninstalled/reinstalled 3 times allowing Ulead's default path to remain intact on all of those reinstalls.
Never had trouble with any other software codecs. Tech support told me to go to the website and buy them. I need to try this software BEFORE I buy anything. That's the whole point of the "free trial" concept. Any help is greatly appreciated.
