8)I am using the trial version of VideoStudio ver 9.00.01. I wanted to change the working directory when executing the burn process. I went into preferences, made the changes, saved them, and the change did not follow through to the burn screen. It was still pointing to the wrong location. I went back to check the preference and that was pointing to the correct location.
Why did it not change?

That helps. What is the point of the preferences in the main screen. Also, the documentation doesn't make mention of that little feature. Is this simply and override?

The one in the main screen is for importing and editing - once you start creating video files or burning discs you need to check all the settings again - they are not automatically carried through from editing into the export modules.
