Editing sound
This may sound like a silly question, but when I am editing on videostudio 9 and I want to put some music to the video, is there anyway I can listern to the music at the same time as the video sountrack without having to render the whole project. This would be usefull so that I can get the volumes right and hear what it would sound like in the final production without having to wait for the whole project to render before I move onto the next peice of music.

Hi
You should be able to preview the project from the ‘Timeline View’ select the word ‘project’ adjacent to the play button, then play.
Preview playback can be bit poor depending on the amount of edit / project content and your pc spec.
You can select ‘high quality playback’ from the ‘playback method’—File Preferences—
This will render the project as preview files, (additional editing will render faster.)
The playback will be in real time, each edit will re-render the edit portion only.
Hope this Helps
Trevor.
