Transition help needed deperately!!

I have installed the Video Studio 9 trial version and i have used it before, however this time, the transition effects between my image clips don't work.

I have inserted all my image clips onto the timeline, but when I try to drag a transition effect between 2 clips, a little error icon comes up (a circle with a cross through it).

I want the dvd perfect as it's for my mum's 50th and really need the transition effects so any advice would be great!

I fear you would have to wait way past your mum's 50th to get a response. You have given us nothing to work with.

What are your clip properties? Where did they come from? What are your project settings, system spec's and TV system (PAL or NTSC)?

...and which transitions in particular were you using?? And what was your exact work flow??

hi,

I'm still having the transition problem - i even bought the retail version, assuming it may have been a problem with the trial version but i have found the same problem even with the retail version. i also tried the retail software on 2 computers and had the same bad luck.

I am using the PAL system as i live in Australia, the images are from a digital camera source and also a scanner. the digital images are about 791 KB and the scanned images are aprox 80 KB.

The last time i used the program when I made a DVD (using the trial version last year) i had no trouble inserting transitions between images the same size as the ones im trying to do now.

i haven't been able to alter my preferences because each time i click it, the program shuts down. This is with the retail version, on both computers!

not one of the transistions works when i try and put it between 2 clips. it just wont let me do it!?

Sorry -- you have apparently just re-posted this thread, and I have again answered saying that you have not provided enough information for anyone to be able to provide anything like useful advice. It is also not a good idea to double post on the same subject. If people can offer help, they will do so on the first post...
