I have a strange problem with PhotoImpact 10 on my Win XP System.
I´ve worked with the program for a few days without any problems, but since yesterday the program crashes right after loading.
Searching for the problem i found out, that the program starts correctly if i remove the "FIORC.dll" from from the fio folder of Photo Impact 10.
Without this "FIORC.dll" the program starts and works normally, but is unable to load and save any pictures!!
Please help! Need the program for my work!
Thanks,
gavin

Have you tried to put the fiorc.dll file in the root dir.
I did that last night seems to be working fine now.

I solved the problem at last.
My system HD is not "C:" but "J:"
Normally i have no "C:" data medium on my system.
A extern FireWire HD i connected to my PC was mounted as "C:".
Everytime this extern HD was turned on, PhotoImpact started normally.
As soon as i had no more "C:", Photo Impact crashed after loading...

I've got the same problem
Thanks ... your solution worked for me as well. For histroical reasons my main drive is E:. I just plugged in my Archos external drive, which comes up as C:, and hey presto PhotoImpact 10 works again.
Thanks again
