No sound?

Post by sXeChic »

I just got a Hauppauge 150 MCE video card today and I didn't have any success getting it to work with anything but it did work with Video Studio 9! Yay but there's a downfall. I'm not able to get any audio. I am using the composite connections, not hooking up the cable directly to the card or anything. Does anyone know what the setting should be for getting audio? Is there a driver I should install? I'm just shocked I got the picture, so I'm halfway there. :D

Hello,

VS9 had issues with Hauppage Capture Devices in the early months following the release, for which patches were produced. Not sure whether this was to do with audio, but it would be advisable to install any patches that might apply to your Hauppage device before going any further.. Also read the sticky at the head of this forum to ensure that you adopt the best techniques for using VS9..

You will find the Hauppage patches at the following link

Hope this helps

It sure did! :D Thank you so much George. I was having another problem but as soon as I used the patch it fixed everything. It changed the functions a little but that's okay, it works now. Yay! :D

It may also be worth signing up to the following forum for the Hauppauge card where you can get answers to any other WinTV card problems, updated drivers etc.

Yup, I just went there and signed up. I'm getting a strange burst of noise so I'm checking to see if anyone over there knows why.
