mov files Will not play with VideoStudio 9

Post by rdh340 »

Can't seem to get mov Quick Time files to play when I upload them from my hard drive which came from a 3.2 mg Kodak camera. Any Ideas?? Is it my file options? Or ? Video Studio 9

I got some small .MOV files using a Canon digital still camera using its video feature.

I just changed the .MOV extension to .MPEG in Windows Explorer -- just typed in the change.

Then they behaved normally. I learned this on this forum. But these are very small files (about 2 minutes).

On my Kodak EasyShare 3.1 Megapixel if I rename the MOV files
to MPG. VideoStudio or MovieFactory says "No Video Data".

I guess it depends on the camera one is using.

The MOV files created by my Kodak are using the H.263 Codec for
video and uLaw2.1 for the audio.

I've gotten them to convert from the H.263 Codec to mpeg2.
It's tricky to do.
Working now though.
