help with Ulead gif animator.....can't run program

Hello,

I have downloaded the trial software for this program, and I have installed it ok. However, when I open it to run it, a little window comes up saying 'Initial Video I/O...' then the program freezes and shuts down. I am running Windows XP. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?
