Video clip zoom

Post by samlcampbell »

I have copied hours of cine to video but the camera zoom was not set correctly and I have a black frame in all my video clips. Is there any way Studio can zoom in to get rid of the border?
I think Pinnacle might be able to do it but it wont stop crashing. I would like this sorted before my trial is up before I spend my money.

I don't really understand what you mean by the camera's zoom not being set correctly. But whatever! You can cut out the black borders by applying the Crop filter to the entire clip.

:D
Thanks for these very helpful suggestions. I sorted videoing the cine problems by trial and error , with white balance, shutter speed, film projection speed etc. My camera viewfinder was just a bit off, hence current problem. Some of the films were very old, 9.5mm 1930's and would not stand up to frequent projecting without breaking.
Anyway thanks again , now off to edit eight hours of video. Probably wont finish it tonight :?
