I'm just a newbie at editing. VS9 is now locking up while importing video from a successful capture from a mini-dvd. The title and chapter boxes are checked but progress stops after 78% progress. The program was working fine prior to this.
my system:
Athlon 64x2 4800+
Asus A8N32-sli deluxe
Kingston 2GB PC-3200 DDR 400
2x Maxtor 300GB SATA 150 16mbcache
Raid 0
2x nVidia 7800GT 256mb
2x NEC dual layer ND-3540A
Any suggestions, plz ??

Most probable cause of this is the data cannot be read from the dvd.
Those dvd's are so small. I would check for any fingerprints on the outside edges of the dvd.
Also you can try copying the contents of the dvd to the hardddisk and then point the importing program to import from the harddisk instead of directly from the dvd.
If you can't copy the VIDEO_TS or DVD_RTAV folder of the Mini-Dvd to the harddisk using windows explorer without getting an error then the computer is most likely getting a read error from the mini-dvd.
Check the dvd for fingerprints or defects.
