Saved frame shrinks from 540 high to 480 high

When I use the "Save current frame as image" feature the saved image shrinks from 540 pixels high to 480. The width remains at 720 pixels. I tested this by creating a solid red image that was 720 by 540. I then pasted it into the timeline and used the "Save current frame as image" feature. You can see the shrink effect immeditely in the preview window. And when I open the image, it measures 720 by 480. Please advise.

looks like it is saving the frame using the resolution of your project settings (for instance, NTSC could be 720x480).

You probably have preferences set to :"Fit to project size"

File menu: Project Preferences,

Edit Tab: Resampling Quality: "BEST",
Image Resampling Option: select "Keep Aspect Ratio"

Capture Tab: Captured still image save format: select "Jpeg"
Image Quality: set to 100

Actually the PREFERENCES, EDIT, IMAGE RESAMPLING OPTION was set to KEEP ASPECT RATIO. When I changed it to FIT TO PROJECT SIZE the problem was solved. Thanx for your help.
