Can't edit images in DVD WS2 Express

Post by rdpepple »

I just installed DVD WS2 Express and the edit functions are non-functional for an imported image or an image placed in the title list from the library. Doesn't seem to be a preferences choice to enable anything. OS is Windows XP Home Edition. I also posted this with tech support.

I suspect that Workshop isn't the right program for what you are trying to do. What kind of image? What kind of editing?

Workshop is a DVD authoring tool. DVD authoring is all the stuff to make a DVD from a finished movie... You can make menus, chapters, mulit-language soundtracks, subtitles, etc.

If the movie isn't ready to go, you use video editing software (Video Studio or Media Studio Pro) to make the movie from the raw footage before you author the DVD.

If you're making a slide-show DVD, you might want to use photo editing software to prepare or fix-up the photos before using Workshop.

Thanks. I now understand the differences in the tools. However, I've just posted a new issue with regard to an MPEG file output from Video Studio that is very low quality when input to DVD Workshop. In any case, thanks for your input on this issue.
