My Ulead Cool 3 D program will absolutely not work now that I've upgraded to Windows 7 which is a shame because this program was a non-complicated do many things right program that I found to be nearly completely essential to my web site work. And from what I've seen no other program comes close to it so I'm now having to do without. Lately I've been trying to add special 3 d effects to text for a new web site I'm doing and although I've been able to add a lot of pizazz to such text it takes a lot of time to do it in Paintshop Photo X3 and the results are pretty unpredictable.

I keep shaking my head in complete bewilderment over why Corel is not doing anything with this terrific program other than letting it die a quick death. It could integrate it with Paintshop Photo X3 for example, or it could at least redo it so it will work with Windows 7 64 bit as a new stand alone. But to let it die on the vine amounts to sacrilege

I've been running my C3D PS on Vista, using the Windows Classic desktop appearance. I'm running it under compatibility mode for WinXP. If you can with your version of Win7, try using a compatibility mode, or shutting off Windows Aero.

A new product called motion studio 3D is just released in Japan days ago. Corel renamed it from Cool3D to MotionStudio 3D for some reason.
I guess US version is coming soon...

Thanks for the heads-up about the Japanese release. There is still nothing on the main Corel.com website, though, about a more general release. In the past, products have been released in Japan as a sort of test market, with the worldwide release following some weeks -- and in one case I recall, months -- after the Japanese release. However, in this case, I suspect it might be quicker than that.
