VideoStudio 7 mpeg burn to DVD not enough disc space

Trying to burn an mpeg file to DVD in Share Creat DVD. When I got to the last screen the slide rule marking showed mpeg file outside the 4.7 mark (mpeg was 6.4GB so I clicked on the changed the compression to reduce it to 3.5GB but after 4hours rendering a little grey note appeared telling me that "disc space is not enough insert a new disc".
