I am using the trial version of VS9, and have been comparing to Pinnacle Studio, and have decided to go with Ulead. I have not used it a great deal but have rendered a couple of DVD's and no problems at all, other than mess ups on my part due to lack of knowledge.
I do have a question. During the rendering process it asks if you want to add clips etc. to your project. If I have already burned a DVD can I import that movie from the DVD and add it to the one I am in the proocess of endering? Also, I know this is probably very basic, but when I render a project to file, I cannot find it when I want to burn to DVD. To make the DVD, i have to render it all over again. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
Adding clips to dvd

Welcome to Video Studio! I think you made the right choice
First, it sounds like you are burning to DVD directly from the project. Although you can do this it is not viewed as a best practice with VS. Check the sticky note at the top of the forum.
You should create video files of all your projects first and then start a new blank project and then add the video files during the create disk process.

Ditto to Guy's response. And in relation to finding your file, check under File > Preferences as to where your working folder is. Unless you have specified another, your files will be stored there. Most likely it will be in My Documents\ Ulead Video Studio\9.0. I am sorry I cannot check the default as I have changed my working directories. (There is another one also in the burning module in the 'Preferences' under the first of the two icons in the bottom left of the burning screen.)
