movie factory convert step got some problems 4570

Post by arnys-shack »

Dear All,
Any one having this problem, yes I have, and still have !!
What is amazing, is, I notice that if I leave out the background
music I do not have any burning problem this error does not appear.
and I have tried wave files mp3 files in all sorts of formats.
Now here might be a CLUE ?.
When I take it to another PC which has been set-up exactly the same
as the first PC, it burns the Program complete with the same mpeg2
files and the same background music with no problems at all.
The first laptop is a HP Pavilion zd7000 with MF V4
The second laptop is a slightly older Packard Bell Easynote K5285.
Both are running on XP Home, neither are more than 2years old.
so the specs are well up so is can this bug = 4570 be solved I
think it will be a bit more invovled than we think,
I did go back and tried MF V3 with the same mpeg2 & Wave infomation
MF3 gave the same error signal.
Somebody has suggested removing "Quick Drop" I would like to know
how as it does not show its ugly head in "Add-Remove" neither does
Ulead give you a choice when loading MF V4 you have to have "Quick
Drop" whether you like it or not

Best Regards to all

Tony

Tony,
On the machine with the problem are you using the EXPORT feature
of MF4 or after going to the burning module to recode the material?

Before you insert the music file into the slideshow can you preview
and hear the music playing using the icons on the bottom of the
import audio file screen?

You can try this:
From the MovieFactory 4 Launcher screen select CD and then select
"Audio CD ". This will bring you to the Audio CD creation screen.

From the top menus select "Tools" -> "Convert Audio Files"
In the Convert Screen click on "Add" and select one of the MP3 files
giving you a problem.
See if you can play it (top >play icon).

On the bottom of the screen under "File Type" change the drop-down
box to .wav. Then click on "Options" and select "PCM" as the audio format and the attribuites as either "44,100khz 16bit" or 48,000khz 16bit.
Then click on "Convert" icon.
Try using those created wav audio files.

The above screens are part of the "Burn-Now" Data-Add program.
