MSP pro 7 & : Quality when usng PIP ?

Post by pjoel91 »

I'm french and not so fluent in english, also please dont blame me for mistakes.
I would like first to thank everybody for hundred of good infos i found here. Because, i'm amateur, it has been very helpfull for me since several years.

My pb is that using PIP , i'm getting artefacts on the smallest window. it happens only on some clip , not on all, depending on speed of mouvement.
The only way to solve the pb , has been , to put "average"
video filter, to degrade the precision of the clip.
Is it normal pb ?
What can i do ?

I'm using Msp 8. Input are clips in DV type 1, frame type is "lower field first"

Thank

Have you tried deinterlacing the PinP clips (not the background clip)? If possible, it may also help to make the PinP clips so that the height is divided by a whole number (e.g., 288, 192, 144, 96... from a 576 pixel original)
